early narrowcase 250 segment locking plate needed

Anybody out there have a "segment locking plate" part number # 0603.07.170 for a very early 250 engine ? I need one.

This part is for the 12.5mm diameter kicker shaft. There are larger shafts used in the later model years, which does not help me.

Here is the parts diagram:

Any leads would be appriciated !! Thanks.

Part no 170 is not fitted to any of my 4 speed engines, I think that you will find that is out of the 5 speed later engine.

I just checked the 175 and 250 engines that I have in pieces at the moment and they return straight onto the cases.

Chris, you are correct it is a very early 5-speed.

All this time later, and I need one too! Da same ting!! Mines a 66 250 5 speed, and that little segment locking plate is holding me up! Pete >:|!!!
