another canuck ducatisti

Post by nesster »

Hi Steve, and all other Ducatisti. I just bought my first Ducati in March 2008. It's a 1966 (I think) 250 Monza (I think) and it's seized from sitting in a damp, cold Indiana location. It appears complete.
I meant to start tearing it down before this, but other projects got in the way.
So far I've cleaned and polished the front wheel and thrown on new rubber that holds air. Now working on the back wheel, and the entire machine is on one of those hydraulic stands awaiting tear down.
I know nothing about Ducati engines, but I do have a friend in Quebec,
Eric Pritchard # 170 in VRRA, who is racing these gorgeous little beasts to great success here in Canada and USA in AHRMA and USCRA.
Also Henry Hogben, Ducatisti Expertisti, is within a couple hours drive,
so I feel like help is at hand.
My dream is to ride it in an eastern US Moto Giro as soon as it is roadworthy.
This website/forum looks really good! -Chris
