NEW Darmah Owner here

Post by HYBRIDR-TELE »

Hello all, My name is Matt and as of yesterday i am the proud owner of a 1978 Ducati SD Darmah. i have had my eye on this bike for about 9 years now and finally got the owner to let it go.

I have had several other bikes including a 1980 Harley D. Sturgis, 82 honda Magna, and my Prize posestion a 2002 GSX-R 600M Telefonica that i converted to a HYBRID 1000

ITS been in storage for a few years so its covered in oil and taped up where needed.

I discovered the BevelHeaven site last night while trying to hunt down as much info on this thing as possible.

I was going to fix her enough to ride her, but i'm anal about my bikes so i'm turning the Darmah into a non- or light- riding show bike.
plan on ripping it down over the next few weeks and go back up with new or improved EVERYTHING. meaning i'll probly be buying a lota parts from you guys.
... and i'll take as much help as you'll give on what i should and shouldn't replace to keep this thing show worthy. i don't want to do Carb. mods, or suspension changes if its going to hurt the value or show quality. time will tell i guess

anywho.... thats my intro, great to be here, and feel free to check out my home site www.gsxrpaddock.com, i'm a moderator and insane GSXR guru----> just incase any of you Dami guys happen to have a Gixx

good deal, welcome aboard. Get her running and clean first, in doing so, you will discover what else she needs. Feel free to give a call or eMail if you get stuck and/or need some parts - I stock just about everything you will need or can get it for you.

Welcome to the Cult Of The Darmah! For me, it has been one of the most exhilirating and mystifying bikes to ever grace my garage. You have stumbled upon the proper place, however. I have found everything I have ever needed, from parts to advice on this site. I do have the help of a local garage where the owner has been working on Duc's for 51 years ( really ), but Steve rocks.

Good luck, and keep us posted on your progress. Oh, and don't let the electrical get you down.
