Gas cap seal - what's it take?
I have an 82 900SS and the gas cap leaks when you have anywhere near a half tank in it. I looked at the rubber seal and it still seams to be pliable. Are these easily replaced and should there be a second seal? Just looking for a reason this thing leaks. The cap has a key lock so I would prefer to fix this one versus just replacing it with another.

Yes I stock both sizes of the gas tank cap seals for twins, as well as both the sizes for singles. www.shop.bevelheaven.com
1 seal only is needed. Once you replace the seal (just remove the little screw etc it is a 2 min job) check that the cap is sitting on that little bar at the pivot correctly.. They typically do a good job of sealing up.
