Is a Darmah right for me?

I'm intrigued by the Darmah, but have never ridden one. I love the looks of the SD900, and of course the sound. I've had a '95 M900 and currently ride an ST4s. I'm not a very good mechanic, but have access to one, a Duc specialist.
I'd like to use the Darmah daily, in place of my ST. Is this realistic? Are they reliable enough?
I don't take long trips. My back is not the greatest, I'm almost 50.
Is the riding position as comfortable as a Monster, or ST ?
TIA for your opinions, experiences, and advice.
Jeff

Hi Jeff,

Forget for a min that I am selling an almost prestine nearly new 1981 Darmah posted on the site.......

The Darmah is a great bike - it has the BOSCH electronic ignition, the good bottom end, the ergonomics are weel though out - footpegs forward a bit, nice seat, bars are goo and can be changed easily enough like any other bike if you want a lower or higher hand position......

The bike handles like a dream, the engine is strong - like a 900SS - but you get the nice riding position. I own 4 Darmahs at the moment. I am selling the 1981 SD900, and will soon be offering a 1980 SSD Darmah [clipons, ferring and rearsets from the factory] but I keeping the other 2 indefinately. I love these bikes. But I love the 900SS model as well... Different bikes for different kinds of riding...
