I have a set in my F1 racebike. It sees 10k often and over the course of a season I've not had any change in clearance to speak of.

because Guy patented the concept, and, he has gone to Ducati in Italy to try to convince the decision makers to use them instead of their crap half rings.... Ducati doesn't want to pay for the technology/rights and, if they DID make the change to this obviously superior solution, they would be admitting there was something bad/wrong with the current half rings they have always used. The half rings crush and can rotate over time which causes a change in the valve clearance, then, you get problems with sealing etc.. The MBP Collets will not deform. Period. So you need to take some time and re-shim each valve when you install them - but from there - forget about them.. Of course you will want to periodically check your valves but you will not see changes and you will not need to change your half rings every 3K miles. Racebikes are going all season with no valve adjustments needed with these installed. I stock kits for bevel singles, bevel twins, pantah, DS1000 motors etc.. They work.

I have them on my Mille and no issues. Shimming hasn't moved in some time.

yes and yes.

Bevel Heaven is a online source for finding hard to find bevel drive Ducati parts and services and Bevel Heaven owns this forum.

Bevel Heaven is me, Steve Allen (and my crew of course).

Yes I developed this forum as a place for anyone to ask questions of everyone, and to provide a place to easily find answers to those questions by searching easily through all the topics.

And, I told you previously that Guy (MBP DUCATI) doesn't manufacture these collets any longer, and that I am buying from the person who now does make the collets under license of Guy. So, it doesn't make much sense that you went and tried to buy from Guy, who doesn't make them any longer, who most likely doesn't have inventory any longer, etc, then come back here and complain about Guy. If Guy told you or it is written on his website or whatever, that he is closed for the summer, that's his reality. I have known Guy for more than a dozen years, his Ducati engine building skills are legendary.

Guy Martin's website http://www.mbpducati.ca/

His ex partner's website is http://www.mbpducati.com and for whatever reason, it shows collets etc but who knows about those guys, I have never even talked to those guys about anything and think they are using the MBP name without proper authority etc. Guy told me about them a decade ago, I can;t remember the details but remember it wasn't pretty.
