Peoples, My old Duke decided to suck its air filter foams through the carbie and out the exhaust. It was old foam and obviously perished with age. Running Amals with mushroom top style filters. Problem is I cant get hold of any filter foam to suit. All the bike shops told me to switch to pod filters. Any recommendations or do I just assume K&N is the only way to go?

If they are the same filters I think they are, they were available here in Australia.
Phil HItchcock at Road & Race supplied mine a couple of years back so worth checking with him.
