Hi chaps. As part of my ongoing restoration to my 900SS I want to make some new ali jaws to replace the NCR style ones presently fitted. I read somewhere that the jaws have different thicknesses, does anyone know what the sizes are?
Regards,
Chas.

This is from a drawing from measurements I made- dimension 'A' is 5mm on the brake side and 6.5mm on the chain side

or the other way around...if the sprockets don't line up the plates are on the wrong side

just that one jaw on the inside BRAKE side is thinner, the other 3 are thicker.

I seem to remember that the brake plate of my SS was 11 mm thick.
So if I make a replica in 10 mm, I can use four identical clamps ?
The left inside clamps should be thinner.
It fall depends on how accurate Your rear fork was made, not much use making a special clamp when You fit the wheel and pull both legs together tightening it ?
