Looking for stock airfilters for my F1a...put K&N's back in 88 and sold origionals like a dummy! Or... if there is something out there that fit better then the K&N's i would like to hear from you.

As I remember, the stock F1 air filters were a piece of coarse foam stuffed in a plastic frame without being fastened to the edges. I call parts like those "place holder parts", as they take the place of real parts without performing the required functions :-)

On the first day after buying my F1, the front cylinder blew the filter foam out and it leaned out badly for the ride home. I threw them in the trash immediately thereafter. It only took about a year of continuous effort to get the rest of the new F1 dialed in after that!

Yeah i agree the stockers were less then ideal, but other then the ill fitting K&N's i havent found another brand that even comes close to working.
