My first Ducati single, need major help.

Post by motogpfan »

Hey guys, This is Nick president of the Coastal Ducati Club in Florida, yesterday I picked up a 1969 450 Scrambler. Wasn't really in the market for one but i couldn't turn down the price. I'm looking for help in many areas, parts, engine work, direction in where i want to take this project.
My main riding time is at the track. being a control rider at Jennings GP I spend a lot of time there so I was leaning more toward turning into a road racer. I think turning it back into a scrambler would be cool too but it would not see much seat time simply because there really aren't many places to play with an off road machine.

So I am off to browsing the forum looking for ideas, here are a few pics to give an idea of what i'm up against. thanks for all suggestions and help in advance.

Nick
I have seen the scrambler frame used effictively (sp?) as a flat-tracker. There should be AHRMA races in your area and if ride road race it should be a natural for you. What is there looks clean & solid. Good Luck!
