Rusty gas tank cleaning techniques

Anybody have some instructions on using a technique for removing rust on the inside of a tank using baking soda, water and electricity ? I saw a posting on some forum, but can't seem to locate it. Thanks.

I think I saw the method outlined on 650rider.com a Yamaha 650 website. I think it involves suspending an iron bar in the solution and using a low voltage to let electrolysis do its magic but I don't remember what the polarity should be.I think if it's backwards it would try to plate the tank with iron.
