Funny you should say that, Bill. There was one brand new full JOD there. Guess who's shelf it is sitting in now?

Martin, thanks for the info. Just FYI to everyone else the 'new' red and green wire is repro. and not quite exactly like the original. You can spot it a mile away after you compare side by side. J.

No, it is entirely true.I gave them to a co worker at the dealership I was working at.He was going to use them on one of the BMW Rennsports he was building.I also gave him a Suzuki water buffalo 4 shoe brake. It was to be a trade in that he would build me a wide swingarm for my Manx framed 750 Norton. When I say he was building a Rennsport I mean he was really building it .He made patterns, had the castings done and did all the machining along with making the guts.I think John Surtees has one of his bikes.Anyway, He had cancer and passed away and I guess all his stuff was sold off.So the rims are probably sitting in a corner somewhere unseen and unloved.Or somebody is a couple of grand richer.

That'd be a corner I wouldn't mind leaning into!

Never heard of them before. Knew of BMW's racing heritage, but without the details. Had a look. Wow!!! Very nice!!!
