i just looked through the ss parts catalogues i have-my 76 switch and 75 ss switch have different part numbers-76 was mounted in dash-75 mounted on frame in front of left side cover.
i think different numbers related to number of connections-76---6 way,75--3 way----the rubber boot for both switches have the same number-suggesting they are the same size.
my 860 gt had the switch mounted at front left under tank on a bracket.
hole size unknown-i sold it 32 years ago.
my switch is 22mm-and yours?-perhaps nos was for 860 or it was--nos: not old stock
i presume you are trying to mount switch at rear of tank
what size is the hole

The hole at rear of tank is approx. 21.5 mm, definitely smaller than the switch.

wdietz, I would love to see a pic of that Ducati key if you could post.

Jordan, The camera isn't speaking so I assume it had a good time.I was here in Maryland the whole time trying to make a living.I'll try to get the camera out of its stupor and shoot the key.I threatened before to shoot some pix of my old 900 racer and post them. Hopefull I can do it this weekend. Bill
