860GT with a heavy clutch

I've read Steve's article on the clutch actuating linkage and I suspect that my 860GT may be a prime candidate for needing its linkage cleaning and greasing. It's rather heavy to operate and I'm sure I can feel a slight grinding...

Just a quick question - I assume that the adjuster can be accessed through one of the small covers in the left-hand side case, if so, can I push the rods/balls/etc out without removing the whole left-hand side, or is this an impossible task?

I don't mind taking the left-hand side off, I'd just rather not if I don't have too...

Pull the little cover on the left side, remove the locknut and adjuster and push the rods, rollers, and balls out with a thin rod, after removing the right side shifter box.

That's what I want to hear.

Thanks for the info, I'll get back to you if I manage to fix it!

Be sure to check diameters of the different rods and balls.
Keep manual on Your side, easy to get this wrong.
