Just putting the clutch back together on the 1980 MHR. Can anyone help with the torque setting for the 6 bolts in the clutch drum and also for the side engine casing.
Searched the other threads but couldn't find this info anywhere.
Many Thanks

Hi Mark,
Ducrappi weren't very good at specifying torque values, especially for 'less-stressed' fasteners like these. That said, the Dramah owner's manual lists these values for engine casings bolts (1 Kgm = 9.806 Nm = 7.23 lb/ft).
6mm, 0.8-1 Kgm
8mm, 1.5 - 2.0 Kgm
10mm, 2 -2.5 Kgm.
These values are pretty conservative (around 75%) in comparison to the theoretical max torque values of 8.8 grade mild steel bolts, but I suspect this is probably a reflection of the fact that they're threading into a soft material.
For the clutch bolts, do them up to something similar - and if you're still worried, use some thread lock.
HTH
