A question of oil flow

I got bevel window, and when I look at the oil flow at 1500-4000 rpm, it seems to come from "behind the gearwheel" but almost nothing through the little hole in the center of camshaft.

Is that how it should be ?

Best regards Per

Mine throws so much oil it is difficult to see where it actually comes from. I would be more worried if you didn't see any oil at all.

The oil holes in the cam lobes are about twice the size of the hole in the end of the cam and there are four of them. The lobes and rockers are the items that need the most oil flow as the loads there are the highest. The bevel gears can get by with just a dribble. But with the Desmo valve actuation the loads on the cam and rockers are a fraction of what it would be if it had springs so high pressure/ flow is not needed.

Thanks for the feed back,

As i understand now, everything seems to be in perfect order.
I had almost forgot about the holes in the cam lobes, and that is of course why most of the oil is coming from behind the bevel gear / trough the bearing.
