In one of Ian faloons books he mentions some 900ss cases were stamped with the letter "D" handy to the engine number. The comment he makes about it is that these cases had a different than standard centre gasket fitted..
Who knows anything about this??? My cases have the letter D stamped on them and im struggling to get my crank to fit into my cases.. before you ask, the lateral float on the big end is at min tolarence already.. were there centre gasket thickness options. what would be a safe max thickness. Im looking at about 0.7mm required..
