i've been told the only 4-3.5 stepped spokes available are stainless. cad plated only come in 3mm(too small) or 4mm (rims need drilling) is this the case

you should contact Buchanan's: http://www.buchananspokes.net/ If they don't have them they can make them for you. I believe the spokes were painted silver on your machine, in which case it wouldn't matter if they were stainless.
