72-74 Ducati Sport

Post by Don MacDougall »

I have a '74 Ducati Sport w/ Euro fairing. This is a hybrid and has a '79 900SS motor in it. The bike has been restored from ground up including a engine rebuild. New rod set, new crank and cam bearings, rings, valve guide seals, etc. The motor has been modified with the following. 92 mm Wisco pistons, Imola cams, 42mm intake, 38mm exhaust, 40 mm Dell 'Orto carbs, heads are flowed. Rocker faces have been faced with stellite and polished by Megacam. Tranny has '82 gear set for 3rd, 4th and 5th. Many other NOS stuff from about 3K ago.

Borrani 18" wheels, new wheel bearing, new swinging arm and bushings, Kaw. steering dampener, shortened down tubes, new steering head bearings.

I am in Seattle area.

Contact John Fallon on www.mdinaitalia.co.uk He currently has one for sale (on his website) the price is $18000 I believe. It is located in the UK but transport to the US is not the end of the world. Seems a lot of cash but then as I say prices are only going one way.

There is also a greenframe up for auction. Very slow (disappointing) bidding.
