I bought this bike literally a Barn Find 2 years ago with the intent to restore it.
I rode an 860 GTS in my youth when these were new and a mate had a 900ss.
Anyway a month after I got it I blew out 2 discs in my back and bike has sat ever since.
Realisation is that I probably won't ever get it done so I am putting it up for sale.
Bike is a one owner plus me who never got it registered as DMV said it was out of system.
4,425 miles. Original owner crashed it, lightly, but broke his arm and put it away on wifes orders. Last reg was in 1994.
Bike needs going through but is in good shape.
Carbs are off for cleaning and battery is toast so not running but did run 5 years ago the last time it was fired up.

I'm assuming it will still turnover with charged battery? Carbs will be back on bike and try to start?
I'm very interested in starting a new project and this would be a good, I would pick up myself and have family in your area that could make the transaction.

It does seem like a good winter project. I'm also thinking about keeping it in the SAC area if it happens.

Damage is not bad, a small crease in tank, scratched clock and chipped front reflector.Brake fluid spot on right tank.
There was a NOS tank on ebay that I got outbid on, dang!
You can see it in the left side picture.
The bike turns over on the kickstart no problem.
I have had a large response so I will put the 4 of you in order of reply with cdeines being #1 and idontknowher #2 and then the pm guys.
