I have an older set of chrome 38mm clip ons and adjustable bar end mirrors that i would like to trade. The clip ons are in pretty descent shape but there is some minor pitting, they are close to 30 years old. the mirrors do have some scrapes, but the mirror part is not cracked and a quick sand and paint should make them look like new. I will post pics tonight.
I would like to trade for a complete phf32ad setup for my Darmah. This is the rear cylinder carb and i need the complete carb, nylon sleeve, and aluminum intake manifold. i have the black insulator, and choke pistons. the p.o. sold me the bike with the phm40's, but he only had the front cylinder phf32 setup. seems he used the other phf and manifold for a diana project he had.
pm me or send an email to mustang44_1@lycos.com if you are interested.
thanks
dave

A "d" carb is the forward cylinder carb. D meaning "destro" or "right" meaning the adjusters are on the right side.
The rear cylinder would require an "S" for "senestro" or "left" carb.
To be pedantic, your Darmah should have phf32cd (front) and phf32cs (rear) carbs which were unique to the Darmah models, not the as and ad models.

the clip ons have been sold to a fellow forum member. he was the first to contact me about the bars. seems finding an "ad" carb is not so easy, let alone trying to trade for one, so i just sold them outright.
steve, did all darmahs come with the "c" model carbs? i only ask because i think i have a very early 78 model. my engine number is 900831. i also have the narrow 53mm intake stud spacing. which leads me to another question. do my 53mm stud heads have the same intake port size and flow rate as the heads with 58mm spacing?
thanks,
dave

The C series carbs would likeley have been the only carbs than went into the US in order to meet US environmental standards. I'm not sure that that means all Darmahs (with no exceptions) had them in all world markets.
Certainly my "78" darmah, which was a 77 produced bike (rectangular cam mounts etc) and has a January 78 Australian compliance plate, Engine # 901542, Frame # 901455 came with C series carbs. I've owned it since 1980.
