Looking for a Bevel...

Post by MitchB »

... who isn't?

My 996 needs a playmate, and I need a project...

Looking (hoping) to find a 70's era bevel 750/860/900 (no singles) - GT/GTS/Darmah. Would prefer to have an SS, but know they're too much $$$.

Just starting to look - so turn key or basket case or anything in between considered. I'm in the US - on the West Coast...

Goal is to build a 750 GT "esque" cafe bike...

Mitch-

Have you seen the one on Los Angeles Craigslist? It's a project alright. I am considering it only because its a Ducati and is claimed to be complete with spark. Check it out.

Mitch-
Glad to help. Like I said, I feel like I owe you one. Well, what's it gonna be, a Norton or a Bevel?
Best of luck in your search.

Probably both. Three bikes seems to be the sweet spot for me. I did find a bevel - not exactly what I wanted (but closer than that '75) but will be a fun project.

That 750 was in fact a Sport - rough but from the pictures complete. And it went to someone else - they were faster to respond...
