the only ones i've seen for sale are stainless-also read reports that rechroming increases od,making them hard to fit
but i dont that from 1st hand
i'll probably get mine rechromed and see how i go
are yours buggered or missing?
cheers steve

I bought a set of Stainless once , cut them back with 1200 wet and dry paper then got the buffer wheel to do the remaining work for me , end result you can not tell that they are stainless
I still have my old genuine ones PM me if your interested

No no the Stainless look the same as chrome once you have worked on them
As for rechroming you do have some lead way there, as the "O" ring will take up the extra thickness if there is any , or you could send them out and get them hard chromed it will cost you more (not that you should be worried about this with your resto) but at least they will be the exact same diameter as before , I did look into it but opted for the Stainless
I will take a pick tomorrow for you if you like

here is what they looked like before
the green has been cut back and buffed red has not , one has a super shine the other looks more like a dull clean stainless look or in paint terms High Gloss over Flat

You can get them here
http://www.mdinaitalia.co.uk/stainless_parts.html
If you take your time {and I know you do} after several turkeys you will have them cut back and than it just a matter of buffing them up on the correct buffing wheel that is, in all it took about 1.5 hrs to do them both
or cut them back send em up and I'll buff them for you if you like
