Rear Disk Caliper Hanger

Post by cafe*racer »

ImageImageBasically thats what I have and what I need. I also have hanger with triangular cut out if you prefer. Will gladly consider trade+cash, cash sale, trade or cash for loan of pattern, etc. One of the last bits to complete rear disk conversion on my GT/cafe project. Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks, Jordan

Martin, that is indeed what I am after and I also have a price list from Old Racing Spare Parts. That item would cost around US $200+ I just have a hard time paying that for something that would cost me about $15 in metal and I could bang out in under a couple hours in the shop. And I am pretty sure the one being sold is a copy as. Now I'm not knocking Mario Sassi but if I have to have a copy I'd rather make it myself. Help has been promised by conti-mental re a pattern, so I am hopeful. Thank you for the research, that what makes this forum so great!

Yes, I believe that to be the case. A quick check of the disk dia. will confirm, it should be approx. 229 or 230mm. This is not a rare part per se, just hard to find sans bike.

martin, you have a 230mm disk but you have the 280mm bracket. IOW you need what Jordan needs to make.

I guess I was wrong. That definately is the taller hanger for 280mm disk. Wonder how your friend's bike ended up with that combo. Hopefully Conti-mental will come through with a pattern and I can make up a couple extras while I am at it.

Andy, I got the file and I think I can get along from here. If you get a chance to take any measurements of course that would be beneficial. Will try and make some time to work on this project soon. All I can say is Grazie Mille, Jordan
