Re: What's up with all the bevel's being "broken" on eBay?
I agree - there is a strong moral argument of the sacrifice of one for the good of many, whatever the motives! However, if all the broken Ducati's were still in circulation there would probably be a stronger demand for spare parts though and a better supply of remanufactured parts.

Re: Are Japanese Imports really that bad?
Slightly off topic but it seems near on impossible to shift an MHR in the UK. They are really not in demand and to add to that there are lots on offer. Dealers seem to ask about $20,000 AUD equivalent but there are no takers. On the open market in the UK I think you would have no problem finding a ...

Re: What's up with all the bevel's being "broken" on eBay?
In all walks of life monetary value is determined by desirability and rarity. Ironically what was once undesirable becomes sought after when it becomes rarer as there is a certain frustration built up by the lack of supply and so it becomes a self fulfilling prophesy. There comes a point with ...

Re: '75 900ss screen trim question
Good of you to post those pictures. I am very interested in getting a dual seat made as it seems nigh on impossible to find an original any time soon. I did ask Tony O'Connor at Eldorado in Australia if he could do one for me but he's reluctant without the physical bike and mine being a modified 860 ...

Re: '75 900ss screen trim question
I'd bite your hand off at that price! Have just started on a 860 project which I'm hoping will eventually look and sound as nice as yours. Lots to do as you can see!

Re: Frame Number Missing
Yes that's true. I have bought it from abroad so not had a chance to take a proper look. Will let you know when this has happened. Had some help meantime from Robert Miller who has provided some very useful info.

Frame Number Missing
Does anybody know of instances where Ducati failed to number a frame? I ask because I just purchased a project bike, an 860 which has an engine number but supposedly no frame number. It also appears on Robert Miller's list in that way. I've emailed Robert.
