Mine has 6 x 26mm springs in it which I suspect are off a different model. I am going to put them on our hydraulic test machine at ...

MHR steering nut
Just putting my MHR back together. Which way up does the steering not go as it has a recess on one side around the central thread? Does it go against the top bearing dust cover or up against the lower of the top yoke. I can't see what difference it would make? Thanks.[/img]

Yes interesting. I also have a Norton Commando and have just relined the front brake master cylinder with a kit a company supplies that has a nitrile washer (!) to seal it and then advises DOT 4 fluid probably out of ignorance. I am not overly concerned if I have used a nitrile 0 - ring here as it's ...

I will Steve next week. I got 4 big O-rings from work, two from a yellow box, two from a red box. I assume that one box was metric, one imperial. I now need to put the spares back to know which I used!

PS 15 Brembo round m/cyl O-ring
Does anyone know what exact size the O-ring is that fits between the plastic round fluid reservoir and the master cylinder. Mine came out and just looks/is way too big to get back in. Don't know if it changed size when I cleaned in petrol but it ain't going back in. It is approx 37mm Inside diameter ...

MHR shock rebuild?
Hi
Just bought an early MHR (one of first 500). I had a Hailwood 23 years ago at University and had a little red book (can't remmber author) on tuning the Dellorto's that recommended buying Fontana shocks. I bought a pair with red springs. The bike handled really well but the shocks were still very ...
