It's the option I took fir my 860 GT;my bike has started about two or three kicks..here is some pictures of the setting (you have remove the pinion-flywheel over the old ignition generator )

sorry I did check ,and It has been sold ,the seller owns a 860 GT's tank in the same color ,but he sold the SS 'one .

in july 2010 ,the "Ducati Club de France" organized à great show, with demonstrations of old bevel,panthas,750 F1 and so many beauties !!

It 's a very active club,and there was a lot of french and europeans riders !!

It was a great deal of fun,sun and enthusiasm !! some pictures : enjoy ...
