Re: Improving my Brembos

I've been toying with the idea of by passing the splitter too - did the same on my Triumph Speed Triple and it worked a treat.
One thing bothers me tho - how do you rig up a brake light switch as this is part of the splitter assy - for the UK MOT tests?

A bolt from the blue - how lucky am I ??

I've had my Darmah for just over a year now and in that time have covered about 1000 miles or so.
A few weeks ago the familiar coffee grinder sound on start up indicated that all was not well in the sprag department.
Being short on time and wanting the bike back on the road as soon as poss I booked ...

Sammy Miller Italian Day 2011 - New Forest UK

Hi guys!

The date for the Italian Day this year is Sunday 24th July.
I went last year for the first time. Approx 300 bikes turned up - mainly Italian of course - but other makes also put in an appearance. It was great to chat to other like minded bike nuts!
A small entrance fee gets you into the ...

My Darmah had a similar problem on both pots - turned out that the thick rubber gaskets between the carbs and heads were perished allowing extra air in. Worth a quick visual check!

Hey Colin welcome!
Good to see another member in this fine county of ours.
I bought my Darmah last year and have found this site invaluable for advice and parts from the shop.
I'm in Wimborne - hope to catch up sometime

Cheers, Ralph

Hi Jeff, that paint job looks great!

You don't happen to be based in the UK do you? If so where did you get the work done as I'm thinking of getting my Darmah repainted this winter.

Cheers

Thanks for the info Kickaha.

From what you are describing the front mount on my seat looks to be standard. Am I right in thinking that to remove the seat unit you have to pull back the front part of the upholstery that covers the tank to reveal the securing bolt?

Thanks
Ralph

Hi guys - no info forthcoming as yet :(

Surely someone can answer this question please. Just need info on how the standard seat mounts to the bike and whether the padded section could be removed from the base ( like the whale tail ) or whether it is one unit.

Thanks again

Late Darmah Seat

Hi guys!

The Darmah that I purchased a few months ago has a non standard seat fitted. It came with this seat base aswell:

Is the seat itself a separate item as on the whale tail or as I suspect has the upholstery been removed?
Also it ...

Hi guys!

Only found out about this yesterday so late notice I know but The Sammy Miller Bike Museum is having a " motoitaliano extravaganza day " this sunday 25th July.
Not much more info about it on their website I'm afraid but the museum itself is always worth a visit.
I'll be taking a trip ...
