Fitting Dyna coils to 900SS with Bosch ignition
I've got a 5ohm Dyna coil kit ready to connect. Do I still use the ballast resistors?

Cracked kickstart lever pivot
Any ideas for repairing/saving the kickstart lever from my 78 900SS? It's started to crack through the pivot shaft.

78 900SS fork tubes
One of the fork tubes has a few rust crust spots (maybe 1mm dia) and the chrome has lifted, just at the upper limit of the suspension travel. What are the options here in Aus, rechrome or replace?. Also, both fork tubes have quite visible wear marks on the chrome. If rechrome, any recommendations ...

Had a recalcitrant piston on the newly acquired 900SS, going over all the calipers and master cylinders for pistons, seals etc etc, 5 of 6 pistons were OK with a bit of compressed air, popped out just fine, the last one I had to put in the oven and bake at 250C for 40 minutes, then it just popped ...

Pete here from WA. I recently acquired a 78 900SS along with a 79 Laverda Jota. My third Duke (but ~30 year gap since a 450 Mk3 and 450RT(which was in bits)), lots of Morini's and another Jota (still got that)in between.
