Dear Jerrard,

I tried Gowanlochs in Sydney, and even though I'm sure he has some, he sure wouldn't give me one! In the end, I got a couple on eBay (after a longish wait) and got one of them to fit.

In the end though, I did what I should done in the beggining, and that is go and chat to Bob Brown ...

Thanks for the suggestion, but the bike is with the mechanic, who is the one than said the strarter is stuffed. I have no idea about this, not being mechanically minded, so I have to take his word for it. I'll suggest the 'tap' test to him.

I tried Gowanloch who said they couldn't help me. I was ...

I am having a miserable old time trying to locate a starter motor for my (soon to restored?) Pantah 500. The words 'hen' and 'teeth' come to mind...

If someone could point me in the direction of one, I will give you one gazillion dollars. If you know of a work-around, I will give you ...

Ha, ha! At the age of 50, when more sensible types are playing lawn bowls, I go and buy a motobike (Pantah 500). Go figure...Now, if we could only bottle whetever it is that fuels the mid-life crisis of men, we might be able to solve the world's energy problems!
