gears
Thanks guys for your input.
I took photos as I pulled everything apart.
There was no circlip on the main selector.......?
I have done about 2000km since the motor was semi rebuilt ( bottom end) and have only noticed false neutrals lately.
I'll have to make up a shopping list and send it to Steve.

Darmah Gear Selectors
Riding home recently left me stuck in top gear only.
I stripped the clutch side down, hoping it was just the external selectors.
Using a screwdriver in the selector drum and rotating the wheel all gears select.
The drum has 4 pins in it and a 5th hole.
The cover washer/plate has a 1/2 a pin brazed ...

Its loaded with carbon fibre goodies.
Very different to ride than the 900SD, taking a while to get used to the riding position, brakes and suspension.

Thinking Belt Drive....900SS
I'm thinking for flogging off my BMW 'toaster 'r50/5 and getting something bigger.
I like the mid 90's 900 SS's but have never ridden one.
anyone got any tips or thoughts on these models?
I had a 85 GPZ 900 a couple of years ago but it was fast and wallowly and too quiet.

Darmah, new coils, leads and Regulator. :-)
The Darmah front cylinder did not like to start and took a while to clear itself. I think it has oil issues as it smokes a bit on start up. Once the plug fouls its pretty much history........( our petrol is not the best).
So I bought some of Steves Dyna Coils and leads.
Starts way better now and ...

20 years from a set of tyres
Hello Steve and Everyone else, I have been a silent member for a year or so as my Darmah was not running.....
I wanted a Darmah from the time I saw it on the cover of a Two Wheels mag in the late 70's. I went to Aussie in '86 and bought a BMW /5 to get around on and later picked up a '78 Darmah. My ...
