Check resistance between the 2 yellow and red wires from the stator wires
you should read about 2 ohms ...

I can't tell you the difference but all the Bosch model bike list the part as 799 46 300 as you said. Therefore the parts should be at the least backwardly compatable. You can still buy the part new for about 230 Euros/ 280USD/150Sterling. If you can find working units on ebay for a lot less they ...

Why not just keep it as an RT? or add parts to make it a TS. Seems a shame to mess with it unless you can reverse all the mods. For the price of singles in the USA it would probably also be cheaper to buy a complete bike that the parts to modify yours. 'course I'm slightly biased as there are no RT ...
