I have both a 900GTS and a Darmah in my garage, and fail to see any difference between the engine mounting holes on the two models. If you want me to check any specific measurements, just let me know.

Re: Fairings/windscreen sources
most of the fairings out there are “basic” 900 SS fairings. I am in the process of rebuilding my own Darmah after a fire and found this fairing, which i belive to be more true to the original Darmah.

Re: Ducati 900 SS '82 | Front cylinder exhaust running hot
Hi Rob,
Thank you for your post. I'm both glad and sad to find another Ducati owner with same type of issue.
I will try and check timing and advance on mine in a couple of days.
If you manage to get the issue resolved, please do tell about it, when the bike returns to you

Re: Ducati 900 SS '82 | Front cylinder exhaust running hot
Called the Ducati specialist yesterday and asked him if any work was done to the pickup wiring.
He confirmed that both wires endeed had been in a sorry state, and that the wires had been replaced.
He purposed that I altered the idle jet setting on front cylinder wit the purpose of settling the ...

Re: Cylinder base gasket - 900 bevels.
Hi Lumpy,
I guess that could be a reason.
The bikes came from two different sellers, so don't think that is the reason.
Did a bit of research last night, and found a UK based webshop that sells these Cylinder base "Shims".

Cylinder base gasket - 900 bevels.
Hi all,
I was wondering if anyone in here could shead some light on this subject.
On some of my bevels, the former owners has used both a paper gasket and an aluminum/metal gasket on the cylinderbase (between cylinder and engineblock face.
On my 900 SS the rear cylinder had a paper gasket, then ...

Re: Ducati 900 SS '82 | Front cylinder exhaust running hot
Hi Gardner,
Thank you for the input - I'll check with the specialist who had the engine checked and hear if wiring is old or new.
Will post again when I have an update
Best regards,
Martin

Ducati 900 SS Darmah / SD - Wiringharness needed
Hi all,
I am in the process of restoring my 1980 Ducati 900 SS Darmah.
When original purchased, the bike had been fittet with a newer wiringharness, newer model LH/RH switches and another dashboard console / idiotlights.

Ducati 900 SS '82 | Front cylinder exhaust running hot
Hi all,
I hope that someone in this forum has some insights that I can use.
My Ducati 900 SS is running very hot on the front cylinder exhaust pipe. So hot that the exhaust pipe is glowing red on an ordinary ride without any specific stress on the engine.

What Darren says might be true. I havent seen the schematics of an S2 electrical system. Either way your right about the fact, that it isnt necessarily a problem. As I recall the link I posted earlier on, explaines how to test the generator - if the generator output is high enough, there shouldn't ...

Hey all,
Hope sombody in here can help me. Recently I (by terrible mistake) loosend the allan screw, holding the Pickupplate on my bike. I now have some trouble replacing the plate correctly. I read in the workshop manual of a special tool, used to align the pickups, but have not been able to find ...

WANTED: Intake Manifolds (Ducati 900SS Darmah - 1978)
I resently bought above mentioned Ducati, but had problems getting it to run smooth. On disassemble of carbs and intake manifold I discovered that the manifolds were tampered with and that the carbs were too small. I bought new carbs for the bike but I am having some trouble getting the 36mm intake ...
