Re: Fuel level

We say the same. Check float hight and check level fluel is the same, but I think that measuring the fuel level is the best way of setting up the float chamber..
Look "Notes On Rebuilding the Amal Mark 1 Concentric Carburetter",

"The correct fuel level for all Mark 1 Concentric carburetters is 0 ...

Fuel level

Hello to all

I think that float height isn´t the more important for a good running. The more important is the level of fuel into the bowl. With Dell´Orto it is difficult to verify but this could be done installing a Malossi Clear Floatbowl Kit, like this

I think:

it would be possible to rebore to 80 mm with the same liners?. This would make possible to mount the 750 pistons

pistons for parallel 500

I am rebuilding a Ducati 500 Desmo Mototrans and I will need a set of pistons in first or second overside (78,4 or 78,6 mm)

Anyone got a good recommendation??

Problems with cush drive assembly. Part II

Hello everybody

A few years ago I made a question about a problem, but it hasn´t been solved

http://www.bevelheaven.com/~BB/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=520

“the rear sprocket (with his cush drive assembly) has axial clerance, 1 cm aprox. Wheel does not have axial clerance and turns freely.”

It is ...

Thank you very much for your excellent answer.
It will be very usefull.
Like I have the engine out of the frame, I had think to check the end float first supporting the engine over the side of crank and after supporting the engine over the case when the crank fall down and measure each position.
I ...

V twin: crankshaft end float - zero

Hi bevels
For 750/900
All of us know that the crankshaft end float must be nil (00,00 mm) and we do that with the thust washer. But I don´t know how much have I to tight it ?
For example: with a washer of +0.3 mm, I have a little of end float , but wiht a washer of +0,2 mm, the crank is too tight ...

Top pick-up is for vertical cylinder.
If you look at the pick-up from the rear with the mounting flanges at the
bottom, the white/black wire enters the pick-up on the left.
All that happens if you reverse the polarity is that the ignition box locks
onto full advance which is easily identified when ...

Hi Steve
Yes, I know your post, but you don´t say polarity pick-up.
The previous owner of my Darmah made changes with cables and, in addicion, the wires are black, burned, and is impossible to know which cable is wite and which is white/black. This is my questión.
In your post you say that uper pick ...
