Hello and welcome. Even though the temptation is there to restore it is always great to see a bike in original condition with original patina. I can't comment on the fairing issues but nice bike and compliments

Can't help either about the frame except that it may well not be original and only a Verlicchi after market. Where in Italy are you? I am in Treviso

Interesting thread. Living in Italy I can't get and have never heard of products called Simple Green. I went to car accessory store and bought a bottle of special alloy wheel cleaner but until I have the GT on wheels again where I can push her out of the garage to be able to hose it off I can't ...

Thanks Derek. I will try with one of those household appartus which is used for cleaning tiles and stuff (one with a vapor jet). I hope that does the trick. Wouldn't know otherwise what tradesmen use that sort of industrial apparatus. Cheers, Guy

Contact John Fallon on www.mdinaitalia.co.uk He currently has one for sale (on his website) the price is $18000 I believe. It is located in the UK but transport to the US is not the end of the world. Seems a lot of cash but then as I say prices are only going one way.

I am rebuilding my GT and the motor doesn't need fixing, so there is no need to take it to bits. Therefore a choice of bead blasting is not on the curriculum. I have spent hours and hours with petrol, motor cleaning products etc and I just cannot remove all of the dirt from the casings, cylinder ...

I might be sticking my neck out a bit here (i.e. treading in a mine field) but Harley catalogues have a host of sidestands for custom applications. I am particularly thinking of one with a telescopic mechanism which can be mounted in the region of the footpegs. It would mean manufacturing a bracket ...

Hi all. Can I fit an SS tank, side panels and dual seat unit to a 1979 Darmah SD? (not to make an SS replica but I am toying with the idea of making a special) If the GTS seat unit fits, does anyone out there have one for sale?
