Re: Backfiring from one cylinder
A faulty plug can cause that issue. The other think I would check is to see if the exhaust is sealing properly at the head. The threaded ring can come loose and that will give the symptoms you describe.

Re: Side stand for 750 GT sandcast
Couldn't you follow the same approach as used on the squarecase models which have a similarly recessed hole at the back of the stand and use a spacer (28 on the diagram in this link - https://www.ducaticlassics.com/parts/860-gte-and-gts/all/stands-footrests-and-rear-brak). That would bring the mount ...

Re: 750 GT forks ‘topping out’
Steve,
This saga continues and it looks like I already have that Works fork kit (or similar) installed. My question is, from the picture below, is the assembly order correct? In particular, should that spacer be inside the top spring? The problem I'm having is that the forks are topping out rather ...

Re: another newbie
Dan,
You might want to drop a line to info@madeinitalymotorcycles.com since I know they've built a 900SS special with Verlicchi exhaust and 40mm Dellortos previously. They are usually quite responsive.

Re: 750 GT forks ‘topping out’
Thanks for the reply Steve but yes, the spacer was sticking out of the top so there is definitely some pre-load on them.

750 GT forks ‘topping out’
I’ve recently acquired a ‘74 GT with centre axle Marzocchi forks and when going over a bump the forks are topping out as if there is no rebound damping, and it sounds almost like metal on metal. I had assumed the oil level was low and so I pulled them off, fitted new seals and refilled each with ...

Re: WANTED Side Stand for 83 MHR (S2 Frame)
As far as I know, none of the MHRs came with a side stand - those that do now are after market.

Speedo drive
I have broken the ‘tang’ on my speedo drive. I have a new tang to replace it but how does the drive come apart?

Hello all
My bevel collection, much to my wife's annoyance, consists of a '74 450 yellow desmo and an '82 Darmah, both of which I restored from wrecks and I've just acquired a '74 750 GT (which just needs tidying up). Also in a garage is a 2001 900SS.
