All depends what market the bike was sent to - Veglia for km/h, Smiths everywhere else.

Re: Sport Desmo twin>single conversion?
Hey Ducadini
Thanks for that - all good stuff
Be interesting to see how this goes. Plan A is to see how I get on with the SD to start with - tidy it up and, hopefully, run around on it this summer.
I do have a non desmo 350 single available so that's a good place to start- if it can be made to ...

Sport Desmo twin>single conversion?
Been reading the other threads about this so I thought I'd post up
I went to look at a 350 Sport Desmo late last summer - barn find, private import to the UK from Italy. Found it whilst tooling around EBay. . Not actively looking to buy, but aware of the model and it's reputation. 5 miles from my ...

central wheels
I would recommend them very highly - I used them to rebuild a pair of wheels for a 250 Daytona. Going for the original look but with a touch of practicality I went for unpolished stainless spokes, brass nipples and chrome Radaelli rims. The latter were supposedly water damaged in a flood they had a ...

SSD
They come up occasionally in the ads in 'Desmo', the Ducati Owners Club (GB) magazine. I'll keep an eye out...
Incidentally, why the SSD?
Always interested in others opinions. I was offered an SSD by a dealer a few years ago, but ended up with an SS after also trying a MHR.

4 bolt Campags/FPS wanted in the the UK
Wanted to return my 900ss to standard. Prefer Campags, but FPS would do.
Thanks

I have the same bike. Standard fit was a square bodied Dellorto 29VHBmm carb, which was also fitted to the 350 and 450.
I don't have any info about the 32mm, which presumably came off a Darmah or similar? Haynes states a 125/122 main jet for the Darmah, so in comparison a 125 for a 250 would seem a ...

Dave Middleton also does stainless nipples. I am going to get a complete set of stainless stuff from him to refurbish all the calipers on my black and gold 900SS. This bike, made in 78/79 but not registered until early '81, has the early calipers like yours but the later see thru master ...

Shaved caliper
Not sure if machining down a single PO8 would give a good result - you'd need to locate a twin nipple caliper to start with and whilst easier to find than the shaved ones they're not exactly common...
